22mp ? Can't Post

>> With its built-in 22 mega pixel CCD imaging sensor it produces sharp,

And hassleblad has a 33mp camera.

Everyone says 8 or 10 mp is "enough" then why does medium format always outperform (from a sharpness and enlargement standpoint) 35mm format, and the more MP's you've got, the less "grain"...

There are always discussions about the theory of light and how the smaller the chip, the closer the pixels, the less light on each pixel... but also, the more pixels, the sharper any curve, tonal gradation or "grain" in the image will be.

Of course, you then start to have issues with optics, the same way you did for film cameras -- eg: asphericalness, edge-to-edge sharpness, drop offs, etc.

But, if the sensor is smaller than the corresponding film size, eg: smaller than 24x36mm for 35mm lenses, or 60x60mm for 120 (funny, if the negatives are 60x60 mm, why is it called 120? ... never thought about that before.), then the image is made in the "sweet spot" of the lense, and the resulting image will be "sharper".

Lot's of things to consider....
