While it might not seem it, there are a lot of changes going on around the site almost every day.
We are getting very close to having certain automated features enabled for uploading and managing images.
Look for a very expanded profile system in the near future.
You can have two profiles, for now. One in the forum, and one in the Links/Gallery area.
That will probably remain for quite awhile.
