Payment vs TFP Can't Post

This is an issue that is all over the 'net.

Everyone wants to be paid, and "business" is about being paid.

But, photography, art and modelling are far more than just "business." Whenever "art" is involved there is vision, and drive, and desire to be creative and do something that will get noticed, make a statement, or make you feel like you have accomplished something.

If you don't do TFP because you want to be paid, this thread isn't for you. And, this site probalby isn't for you either ;)

But if you do TFP, and you find it to help you, in any way, please post your feelings and experiences.

TFP isn't "working for free", it's a form of relationship where money doesn't change hands, but often a lot of blood, sweat and grit go into the shoots, and there is often expense on BOTH sides for the set up and effective completion of the shoot, or the specific image.

After a paid shoot you have a check.

After a TFP shoot what do you come away with beyond any sort of "compensation".
